About Mary K. Cahill.
Research-based writing isn’t for everyone, but it’s definitely for me. I am a curious person who loves to learn, and because I am an online content writer and a novelist, I get the opportunity to share all sorts of factual information with others. Some of my favorite subjects to research and write about are pop culture past and present, food and restaurants, world history, and the arts.
You’re into those things too? Perfect, I can help. I am equally comfortable working remotely or in an office setting and have been fortunate to build business relationships in both arenas. I know that good ideas are born intuitively but require the fortitude of factual knowledge, a solid pitch, and genuine team morale to become the kind of work that leaves a lasting impact on society.
I was born and raised in central Connecticut where the proximity of local libraries and an inherent love of music, photography, and the news fostered my longstanding belief in self-curated education. If I was intrigued by something, I sought further knowledge on the topic, be it a cool post-punk band I heard on a mixtape, the food I ate at a friend’s house, or a historical piece of footage I saw on TV. Combined with a passion for writing that I have possessed since early childhood, I’ve applied this perceptiveness to find my niche in various professional paths. I studied screenwriting and playwriting at Drexel University and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications at Full Sail University. Meanwhile, I write weekly features for Static Media’s food and culture website mashed.com.
After trading my New England roots for a life in Brooklyn, New York I am ready as ever to continue this exploration. I love doing research as much as I love to write, which inspires my passion for world travel and challenges the bounds of my intellect. Through it all, I believe that the greatest teachers we have are each other. My life’s work lies in championing the inimitable soul behind our stories.
